No session left
See detailed description below. Registration is for a full session of classes, not a single class. Registrations are accepted until the fifth (5th) Art Class, with prorated tuition for the remaining classes in the session. Program is nonrefundable. See "Policies" on our website for more details.
Participants must be 10 years to 14 years old when the program starts.
In this Studio Art class, students will receive focused instruction in painting and develop techniques using a variety of high-quality painting materials including watercolor, acrylic, and gouache paints, as well as acrylic markers and watercolor pencils. Students will practice painting in a range of styles and will observe the works of well-known artists– both classic and contemporary– to inspire personal painted masterpieces! While painting on diverse surfaces (paper, wooden panel, canvas), they will learn about values and textures, color theory and color mixing, and improve their brush control. Completion of artworks will be rolling, usually every 2-3 weeks. All artworks will be collected to take home as a portfolio at the end of the session. Make For Joy Art Studio 129 E. Alder Street, Suite 101 Walla Walla, WA 99362
