Description

Students will experience a variety of high-quality art materials for 2D painting and drawing including watercolor and acrylic paints, ink, charcoal, chalk and oil pastels. While learning about values, shading, and textures, color mixing, brush control, and the basics of composition, students will be exposed to diverse art styles and the works of famous artists both past and present, inspiring their own masterpieces. Students will complete a new artwork every 1-2 weeks. All artwork will be ready to take home as a portfolio at the end of the session.

NEW PROJECTS than previous classes or camps. We strive to offer unique art projects from session to session, allowing students to continue with a program, such as “Exploring Art”, without repeating the same project from a different session.

Learning: Color Theory, Brush Control & Blending, Shading & Values, Composition, Shape Mapping, Perspective, Proportions, Realism, Impressionism, Art History
