Description

Our projects will feature the Animal Kingdom this week, from feathered friends to wild and woodland creatures, reptiles and insects, too– we’ll paint, sculpt, draw, and design!

Description

Grab your passport and your paintbrush, World Travelers, we’re going around the globe to learn about art! We’ll draw ancient cave drawings in pastels, explore Japanese fabric dye processes, visit famous architecture & monuments for making sculptures, and paint as Eastern European folk artists– plus MORE!

Make a variety of tantalizing artworks inspired by foods and desserts: mouth-watering eats and tasty treats! Create exotic produce paintings and creamy acrylic desserts; illustrate an adorable Boba Tea character, and choose a favorite candy for a super fun close-up drawing challenge… and MORE!

Join in for this imaginary road trip around the country’s National Parks, making artworks inspired by our country’s diverse and scenic beauty! Painting the thermal pools of Yellowstone, sculpting rock faces such as the ones on Mt. Rushmore, and sketching the wolves & wildlife of Denali… and MORE!

Castles, knights, peasants, tools & trades! We’ll make artworks inspired by Medieval Times, including sewing a draw-string pouch, sculpting a clay castle tower, drawing a brave knight or knightess with correct human proportions & shading, and designing a Family Crest banner!

Calling all Sports Fans, this week is for you! Keep your favorite teams and athletes in mind as we paint a stylized portrait of a star athlete; sculpt a winning clay trophy; practice shading a spherical sports ball, and MORE!

Description

A great way to EXPLORE many kinds of art materials in one week! Campers will create themed projects through painting & drawing, weaving, felting & fiber arts, clay sculpture, metal arts, and MORE. Each week will teach diverse art styles and techniques, exploring places around the world, and learning about important artists past and present who inspire new ways of creating!

 

Learning: 3D Sculpture, Printmaking, Weaving & Fiber Arts, Painting & Drawing Realism, Balance & Composition, Color Theory, Values & Texture, Contemporary Art, World Art

Each camper’s artwork will be collected into a personal portfolio to be taken home at the end of Art Camp, on the last day.

We will take a 10-minute break halfway through each camp, please bring your own water bottle. You’re welcome to pack a snack (mindful of nut allergies). Snacks are not provided.

No Lunch-Stay provided. If registering for both AM and PM camps, please plan to pick up your child for the lunch hour (12pm-1pm). Thank you for understanding.
