Weaving mini tapestries with wool and yarn, learning basketry, needle & wet felting, sewing, embroidery, batik & fabric dye techniques, and more; students will explore a diverse range of handicraft with textiles & needle arts! They will practice patterns and no doubt improve their focus and dexterity through the session. How do you turn wool fibers into felt? How do fiber artists use natural materials? We’ll carefully create in multiple ways, and learn about traditional & cultural fiber art along the way. NEW PROJECTS than previous classes or camps. We strive to offer unique art projects from session to session, allowing students to continue with a program, such as “Exploring Art”, without repeating the same project from a different session. Learning: Textiles & Weaving Materials, Sewing Basics, Loom Structure & Techniques, Felting, Fabric Dying, Basket-making, Sewing & Embroidery Registration is for a full session of classes, not a single class.
