Printmaking Class, 2 hours - with Sonja Rootvik-Ewing
$45.00 USD
  • Tue6:00 - 8:00 pm

Description

Join us for an engaging art class exploring the expressive medium of linocut printmaking. In this hands-on workshop, you'll learn how to carve your own design into a linoleum block, apply ink, and create striking prints on paper! The design can be your choice; reference photos of nature, animals, and scenery will be provided. This class covers the fundamentals of carving techniques, inking, and hand-printing, while encouraging experimentation with pattern, texture, and composition.

Block printing, also called Lino-cut, is extremely satisfying with ‘you-can’t-go-wrong’ results! For artists at any level-- you’ll love this! The water-based ink dries quickly and finished pieces will be ready to take home with you at the end of class. Come ready to unleash your creativity and leave with a series of your own original prints!

All supplies are provided, including reference imagery.
